We are now open Sundays from 1300-1800. Come join us for food, football, racing and baseball.

VA Home Bingo (Salisbury)

Come join the fun, the 3rd Thursday at the VA home is bingo with the vets. It is a lot of fun and these folks look forward to it each week. Sign up in the canteen-transportation is available

This Thursday, Aug, 21 is bingo at the VA home. Ernie Kelly and Bruce Metcalfe have signed up to go. Any one else interested please be at the post at 1700. Dance Wednesday's

Music by the Silvertones, begining at 8:00 PM.

Air Show

Sept 6 and 7 is the Air Show at Smith Reynolds Airport. We are going to have a booth for the Legion. Need volunteers to help man the booth. If you are interested, let me know via this message, we will set up a schedule. Come on out and help, show support for your post. This is a great way to let folks know about the Legion and recruit new members.

Date:                  September 26 and 27, 2008

Time:                  Friday: 8am to 8pm

Saturday: 8am to 4pm

American Legion Post 55

*Fee to sell items for the two days $25.00*

Open to all who want to sell their personal items

(You do not have to be present to sell your items)

ALL items must be priced and include your name. If you are firm in your asking price, please indicate FIRM on the price tag. If you are willing to take less, please let the Volunteers know. Any items not priced will be sold and proceeds will go to the Legion and Auxiliary. Any unsold items must be picked up on Saturday, September 27, 2008 by 5pm. If you do not want your items or if they are not picked up Saturday, they will be donated to the Rescue Mission and will be picked up on Monday September 29, 2008.

*Bedding/Quilts/Clothing must include the size.

*Items such as power tools, appliances, TV’s etc should be in working condition.

*Items can be dropped off at the Post on Thursday from 10-8pm and will be sorted according to like items.

September the 14 we (Post 55) are sponsering a cook out at the VA in Salisbury.
We will start at 1300. Those interested meet here at the post at 1000 or at the VA.
