We do not charge but we except donations. Post is located 1.5 miles from downtown Historical Edenton. Event Parking -- there is room for approximately 2000 autos. Lot is maintained year round for parking with separate entrance and exit drives and rocked drive-ways. Event area (4 acres) is fenced with adquate gates for separate entrance and exit. Post 40 has a private clubroom for members and guest. It is open daily from 2PM to approximately 7:30 PM. Hours may vary depending on NASCAR and football games. POST 40 PROGRAMS Boy Scouts Cub Scouts Tarheel Boys State Oratorical Contest Student Trooper Pull Tabs for Ronald McDonald House Support of National Guard Families and Scholarships. ON GOING PROJECTS HONOR WALL -- we are collecting pictures of service persons from all periods. Pictures are scanned into a computer and original is returned to owner. Pictures are placed in frames that are mounted on the designated HONOR WALL of the Post Home. Veiwing by the public is available anytime the Post is open or by appointment. Any service person with Chowan County connections can have their loved one or friends posted on the Wall. They do not have to be a member of Post 40. MEMORIAL BRICKS -- applications to have a memorial or honor brick placed at the Chowan County Veterans Memorial are available by contacting the Post.
